Collaboration: While independence is important in achieving everyday tasks and staying on schedule, I believe collaboration is key in the workplace. Working with individuals of every culture, every background is important in order to obtain multiple perspectives on an article, a report, a presentation, and more. Working collaboratively promotes a stronger workplace environment, open-mindedness, and recognizing each others strengths.

Storytelling: I believe stories are just as impactful as facts. While stories can provide an escape from reality, they can also reflect reality in an engaging and thought provoking manner. Through stories, a writer can make his or her reader question themes and elements he or she may not have questioned before. A writer can provoke analytical thinking while entertaining an audience and pursuing his or her passion.

Critical Thinking: Critical thinking and curiosity are important characteristics to me. Questioning the world and always seeking answers are components of passion and dedication. I believe an individual should always be eager to learn and ask “what’s next?” Thinking beyond what is necessary and questioning everything around you makes for infinite learning.
